A little update from me 💕
On this journey of trying to bring the teachings of traditional and authentic yoga to the world, I’ve had so many ideas. A few have been tried and tested, most of them are in the book, and one of them is dedicating these letters as offerings. Over the last five or six years, it was always on my mind to bring a membership platform to the yoga space especially since I wanted to have all my teachings in one place. But nothing ever stuck. Anytime I researched ways to bring it alive, or took steps to making it happen, I was pushed in another direction. I even filmed a large amount of classes for what I thought was going to be a yoga app for me!
If I’m really honest, at this moment in time a membership platform doesn’t feel like my calling. Being able to share honest teachings with you here along with weekly classes does. So, as some of you are already aware, paid subscribers receive weekly classes and teachings in the letters I share. But I wanted to make this space so much more intentional, so after a lot of thought, going forward from March onwards, I’ll be sharing weekly classes with monthly themes so you can learn ancient yogic wisdom and apply it to your modern life. Whether we’re practicing through asana, pranayama, dhyana, or even a short simple lecture, I’ll guide you to a place where teachings of traditional yoga fits into your practice with ease.
Join The Roots of Yoga
Paid subscribers will receive one intentional class and teaching each week. This is where we go beyond information and into integration. For those who understand that yoga is lived, studied, and practiced consistently, you’ll receive
weekly teachings, structured philosophy, and embodied practice rooted in the classical texts.
Here’s what the next few months will look like:
April:
Bhavanas - The 4 Attitudes
Week 1 – Maitri (friendliness)
Week 2 – Karuna (compassion)
Week 3 – Mudita (joy in others’ joy)
Week 4 – Upeksha (equanimity)
May:
5 Koshas - The Five Layers of Being
Week 1 – Annamaya (physical body)
Week 2 – Pranamaya (energy body)
Week 3 – Manomaya (mental body)
Week 4 – Vijnanamaya (wisdom body)
Week 5 – Anandamaya (bliss body)
We also begin our 10-week Journey to the Roots of Yoga online next week, 5th March 6pm (GMT). Join us here. If you’re ready to go deeper than stretching and actually study yoga as a living tradition, this is where we do that!
Thank you for being here and much love,
Nikita ❤️
